Snipe

A fleet of Snipe dinghies racing in the USA

The Snipe is a 4.72 m, two person, one design racing dinghy with a rich history. The Snipe has a main and jib but no spinnaker. Sail area is 11.9 m2. Designed by William Crosby in 1931, it has evolved into a modern, tactical racing dinghy with fleets around the world. Although the Snipe Class has some of the best competition in the world, the class has not lost sight of the importance of social events and, in fact, many regattas are as well known for their parties as they are for their racing.

Olimpic Sails make a range of fast Snipe sails to suit all mast sections. Demonstration sails are available to try. Call to arrange.

We can also suppy hardware and spares.
